Uganda’s most visited National Park- Queen Elizabeth National Park covers an area 1,978 sq.km, found in the Western part of the country, approximately 376 km from Kampala. The park is home to over 95 mammal species and over 600 bird species among the wildlife you are able to see include tree climbing lions in Ishasha, antelopes, African buffaloes’ crocodiles, hippos, elephants, among others during game drives through the park and on a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel which bisects the park. Chimpanzees are also in Kyambura Gorge and various birds and monkeys in the Maramagambo forest.
You will be picked from the accommodation by the guide in the morning after breakfast after which he will brief you and you embark on the 6 hours’ journey to Queen Elizabeth. Along the way you will have few stopovers at the Equator, here you will take enough photographs and head to Mbarara town where you will stop for lunch and view various attractions and city walk in Mbarara.
After lunch, proceed to the Park as you drive through the spectacular landscape characterized with open grasslands, Ankole log horned cattle, tea plantations, the Rift Valley Escarpment and various woodlands. Reach the park in late afternoon and have a game drive as you drive to your lodge. Have dinner and there spend an Overnight at the camp fire.

Have an early morning game drive on different trails in the park including the along the Kasenyi trail to see various animals like water bucks, Uganda Kobs, elephants, buffaloes, lions, warthogs as well as various birds. After the drive of about 4hours, go back to the lodge and have breakfast, have simple nature walks around the lodge and have some entertaining board games and also lunch at your lodge.
Later after lunch, you will have a boat cruise along Kazinga channel that connects Lake George and Lake Edward, while on the boat you will see a number of animals on the lake shore like Hippos, crocodiles and buffaloes, zebras and kobsthat come to drink water and also birds like malachite kingfishers, pink backed pelicans, on the banks and in trees. After head back to the lodge for dinner and Overnight at the campfire.

Have a morning breakfast, then check out of the lodge, have a primate walk for chimpanzee trekking at kyambura gorge which takes about 4 hours before you head in for lunch. Some of the attractions to see along the way back to town may include Mpambire drum center where you will see how drums are made by the locals and also be in position to buy some souvenirs at different local craft shops to support the local community, proceed to Kampala, where you will be dropped off at your hotel in the evening or at the airport if your flight is due on that day.

Such events may include unexpected government quarantines, travel bans, riots, civil strife, natural disaster, terrorist acts, border closure, fire, road closures, industrial disputes, extreme weather conditions and other incidents beyond our control. NOTE: In some unfortunate circumstances, getting a park or Gorilla permit may not be guarantee to seeing wildlife in their habitats as unfavorable local conditions may sometimes hinder access to the wildlife. This can happen without prior notice or it can be at short notice. We therefore accept no liabilities in circumstances where Gorilla or wildlife viewing is due to cancellation by the authorities. Where the loss is due to the absence of Gorillas, closure of boarders, national park or security changes, refunding is at the discretion of the responsible offices.
