Overview

Tour with us in the great Serengeti migration adventure. Tanzania is one of very few countries in the world where you can enjoy an outstanding safari and tropical beach life at the same time. In this tour, we shall drive through the terrains of Serengeti. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Serengeti is known for its abundance of wildlife including the “Big Five” (African elephant, lion, Cape buffalo, rhino and leopard) as well as cheetahs, gazelles, giraffes and zebras among others on a Tanzania safari. The Serengeti is most famous for the Great Migration, a natural phenomenon that sees approximately 1,300,000 wildebeest, 500,000 Thomson’s gazelles, 200,000 zebras, 97,000 topi and 18,000 elands migrate north to Kenya each July. By November the animals move south arriving back in the Serengeti in December. Even when the migration is quiet, Serengeti National Park provides excellent game viewing making it the flagship of Tanzania’s tourism industry. Our visitors also have options to enjoy open excursion like the Serengeti Hot Air Balloon, Maasai Village experience and Olduvai George. This tour is inclusive of ambient accommodation n lodge facilities for our guests

Day 2 of Tour

  • Arusha-Lake Manyara.
  • After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game drive with a picnic lunch.
  • In this small but very beautiful park with dence of forest, you will have oppurtunity to see lots of monkeys,elephants,impals,dik-dik,flamingos in the lake, and if your lucky you may spot the rare tree-climbing lion.
  • In the afternoon, you will continue to Karatu arriving for dinner.
  • Overnight at Country Lodge on full board basis.
  • Stretching for 50km along the base of the rusty-gold 600-metre high Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”.

  • The compact game-viewing circuit through Manyara offers a virtual microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience.

  • From the entrance gate, the road winds through an expanse of lush jungle-like groundwater forest where hundred-strong baboon troops lounge nonchalantly along the roadside, blue monkeys scamper nimbly between the ancient mahogany trees, dainty bushbuck tread warily through the shadows, and outsized forest hornbills honk cacophonously in the high canopy.

  • Contrasting with the intimacy of the forest is the grassy floodplain and its expansive views eastward, across the alkaline lake, to the jagged blue volcanic peaks that rise from the endless Maasai Steppes. Large buffalo, wildebeest and zebra herds congregate on these grassy plains, as do giraffes – some so dark in coloration that they appear to be black from a distance.

  • Ngorongoro Crater Africa – the name has an almost mystical ring to it, conjuring images of a giant wildlife-filled volcanic caldera, where the big five and many other animals roam. But there’s even more – the Ngorongoro Conservation Area also encompasses mountains, lakes, forests and wide-open African plains! With the world-famous crater at its hart, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area covers an area of 8300 sq km. This African wildlife area was previously part of the Serengeti National Park, but due to the grazing needs of the animals of the local Masai, the area was reclassified as an African wildlife conservation area in Tanzania.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area as a whole has much to offer but the jewel in its crown is, without a doubt, the eponymous crater – an area of 265 sq km, which is 610 meters deep and 19 km across. The rim of the crater is an astounding 2286 meters above sea level. The floor contains a small soda lake, called Lake Magadi and it is estimated that 30 000 animals are living in the crater, making it the most intensive safari game viewing area on earth!
