Good To Know

Best Time To Travel:
You can travel any time of the year, but bear in mind that the best time to visit the Masai Mara is during the dry season from July to October, which coincides with the Great Migration. Kenya’s rainy season runs from March to May, with April being the wettest month. While the scenery is lush and crowds are minimal, heavy rains can make some roads difficult to navigate.
Vaccinations:
Kenya does not require any mandatory vaccinations for entry. Antimalarial medication and mosquito precautions (repellent, long sleeves) are advised.
Yellow fever Certificate is not required in Kenya, it is ONLY required if you’re arriving from a country where yellow fever is present.
Visa Requirements:
As of January 2024, Kenya has implemented an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) system for all foreign visitors. Travelers must apply online via the official portal: etakenya.go.ke. The eTA is valid for a single entry of up to 90 days. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from your arrival date.
Tipping Etiquette:
Tipping is customary and greatly appreciated. We recommend $10–$15 per guest per day for your guide, and $5–$10 per day for lodge staff
