Commencing in Nairobi, your extraordinary adventure begins with a warm welcome from our amiable tour guide at either the airport or your Nairobi hotel. Our northward journey unfolds towards the captivating Samburu National Reserve, promising a scenic drive of approximately 5-6 hours.

While the drive may span a considerable distance, we assure you a delightful experience. Our journey is punctuated with strategic stops, offering you opportunities to marvel at the ever-changing landscapes, capture picturesque moments, and relish a rejuvenating picnic lunch along with other delectable snacks.

Nestled in Samburu County, the Samburu National Reserve rests along the banks of the Ewaso Ng'iro River in Kenya, with the Buffalo Springs National Reserve on the opposite side. The reserve's heart features the Ewaso Ng'iro, meandering through doum palm trees and lush riverine woods. This water source is of utmost significance, serving as the lifeblood for the diverse animal inhabitants in this arid region of Kenya. Prepare to be captivated by the unique allure of Samburu's landscapes and the rich tapestry of wildlife that calls this reserve home.

This will be an early morning start! Today is dedicated to a full-day exploration of Samburu National In order to catch the animals when they are most active, we need to be early and get to the park before it gets too warm. Samburu National park is very unique: the diverse landscape that you will come across includes a mixture of acacia, riverine forest, thorn trees, and grassland vegetation). This reserve is extremely peaceful, the sense of serenity that characterizes this reserve is mainly due to its considerable distance from the city and the industrial area; and the fact that for many years, this reserve was not accessible to people. Samburu is home to a diverse array of animal and bird species.  Gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, oryx, and reticulated giraffe can be found in abundance here.  Big cats (lions, cheetahs, and African leopards), as well as the elephant, Cape buffalo, and hippopotamus, can also be found here. Olive baboons, warthogs, Grant's gazelle,Kirk's dik-dik, impala, and waterbuck are all common in the park. Due to excessive poaching, black rhinoceros were not present in this reserve for over 25 years, they have just recently been re-introduced into the park. Bird lovers are in their happy haven here, as there are approximately 350 species of bird. The EwasoNg'iro River features vast numbers of Nile crocodiles.

After breakfast, we will head south to Aberdare National Park. This scenic drive through central Kenya is an eventful one.  The drive will take approximately 5 hours. As usual, we will make a few stops in order to make the drive pleasant, one of the stops will be at Karatina, where you will have the chance to experience one of East Africa's largest open-air markets. The park has a diverse range of scenery, from 4,000-meter-high mountain summits to deep, v-shaped valleys traversed by streams, rivers, and waterfalls. Moorland, bamboo forests, and rainforests are found at lower elevations. Lions, leopards, elephants, Cape buffalo, East African wild dog, giant forest hog, bushbuck, mountain reedbuck, waterbuck, jackal, eland, olive baboon, black and white colobus monkey, and sykes monkey may all be found here. Aberdare National Park also has a big population of eastern black rhinoceros and over 250 bird species.  Aberdare National Park is well known as the location where Princess Elizabeth became Queen following the death of her father, King George VI, in 1952. 

We will end the tour of Aberdare in the afternoon, and make our way to lake Nakuru for Dinner and overnight. 

Embarking on the fourth day of our exhilarating tour, a scenic drive awaits as we journey to the mesmerizing Lake Nakuru, a shallow alkaline lake renowned for its captivating flocks of pink flamingos. Nestled south of Bogoria and straddling the equator, Lake Nakuru is a sanctuary for a diverse array of wildlife, featuring iconic species such as lions, leopards, and baboons. Notably, the lake has evolved into a crucial rhino sanctuary, safeguarding the well-being of over 60 white rhinos and 40 black rhinos.

While the wildlife diversity at Lake Nakuru is noteworthy, the undisputed stars of the show are the vibrant pink flamingos that adorn the lake's waters. At times, the spectacle is awe-inspiring, with over 2 million flamingos creating a mesmerizing pink hue that transforms the landscape into a visual feast.

The day unfolds with a comprehensive game drive through the encompassing national park, providing ample opportunities to encounter the rich biodiversity that graces the lake's surroundings. A pause for a delightful picnic lunch by the lake allows for a moment of repose amidst nature's splendor.

As the sun begins its descent, we return to the luxurious lodge where you can unwind, relishing the comfort of your surroundings. Expanding across an impressive expanse of approximately 1,510 square kilometers, Masai Mara stands as a majestic wilderness on the border of Kenya and Tanzania. Its nomenclature pays homage to the indigenous Maasai people, whose cultural richness is intricately woven into the fabric of this vast and untamed land.

Nestled within the grandeur of the Serengeti ecosystem, Masai Mara boasts the distinction of providing a rare and extraordinary vantage point for witnessing the unparalleled spectacle known as the Great Migration. Among these winged inhabitants, enthusiasts can delight in the sightings of hawks, eagles (with an impressive tally of up to 16 species), falcons, vultures (documented in six species), storks (eight species), sunbirds (nine species), and the impressive bustard family, including the renowned Kori bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird.

A well-deserved interlude unfolds as we pause for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot, offering a moment of relaxation amidst the natural beauty that envelops us.
