Overview

Tanzania Hosted Luxury Small Group Safari Journey

Departure 12 December 2026 | 6 Guests | Fully Hosted From Your Arrival to Your Departure

Discover Tanzania’s most iconic wilderness areas on an exclusive hosted safari designed for travellers who value exceptional wildlife, seamless travel and a more personal way to experience Africa.

Limited to just 6 guests, this carefully designed journey combines the efficiency of Tanzania’s fly-in safari network with the reassurance of travelling alongside an experienced African travel specialist from beginning to end.

A Hosted Journey With Like-Minded Travellers

This is a small group journey designed for travellers who appreciate exceptional experiences, comfort and a more personal way of exploring Africa.

With only 6 guests, the group size allows for a relaxed and sociable atmosphere while maintaining the exclusivity and attention to detail expected from a luxury safari.

The style of travel, the quality of the camps and the overall experience naturally attract mature travellers who value wildlife, authentic experiences and thoughtful travel. Many of our guests come from the UK, United States and Canada, although travellers of all nationalities are welcome.

The journey is hosted in English by Milly Martina, who is from East Africa. Milly will personally accompanies the group throughout. Beyond managing the practical details, Milly’s role is to share her knowledge of Tanzania, create a welcoming group atmosphere and ensure every guest feels comfortable, supported and able to make the most of their time in Tanzania.

A Journey Through Tanzania’s Greatest Wilderness Areas

This safari has been designed around the natural rhythm of Tanzania — beginning in the vibrant surroundings of Arusha, continuing through the landscapes of Tarangire and the endless plains of the Serengeti, before concluding among the remarkable scenery of the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Each destination offers something completely different:

Arusha

The gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit, Arusha offers a peaceful introduction and farewell to your adventure. Surrounded by coffee plantations and the dramatic backdrop of Mount Meru, it provides the perfect setting to begin your Tanzanian journey.

Tarangire National Park

Discover a landscape of ancient baobabs, seasonal wetlands and large elephant herds. Known for its peaceful atmosphere and spectacular scenery, Tarangire offers a beautiful introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife and wilderness.

The Serengeti

Spend several days immersed in one of the world’s greatest wildlife ecosystems. Explore vast open plains where predators, large herds and dramatic landscapes create some of Africa’s most unforgettable safari moments.

Ngorongoro Crater

Descend into this extraordinary natural amphitheatre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations. Its unique enclosed ecosystem supports an incredible concentration of animals throughout the year.

Along the way, carefully selected safari camps and lodges provide the perfect settings to relax, reflect and fully appreciate each destination.

More Time Experiencing Africa, Less Time Travelling

Africa is best experienced in the wilderness, not from the back of a vehicle travelling between destinations.

Rather than spending long hours on road transfers between national parks, this journey uses scheduled light aircraft to connect Tanzania’s most spectacular safari regions.

Flying between remote airstrips means more time exploring, more opportunities for wildlife encounters and more time enjoying the landscapes that make Tanzania extraordinary.

A different Way To Experience Safari

Travelling in a small group allows us to experience Africa at a more relaxed pace, while still enjoying the reassurance and organisation of a professionally designed journey.

With Milly travelling alongside the group, guests have a direct point of contact throughout — from practical questions before departure to recommendations and support while in Tanzania.

It is this personal approach, combined with trusted local expertise, that transforms a safari from a carefully planned holiday into a truly memorable African experience.

Carefully Selected Luxury Safari Camps & Lodges

Throughout the journey, we stay in a collection of carefully selected properties chosen for their character, location, hospitality and ability to enhance each destination.

Arusha Coffee Lodge : A peaceful retreat set within a working coffee plantation, offering the perfect welcome and farewell to your Tanzanian adventure.

Tarangire Treetops : A unique safari lodge immersed in the natural beauty of Tarangire National Park.

Serengeti Pioneer Camp: An intimate tented camp in the heart of the Serengeti, offering an authentic safari atmosphere and excellent access to wildlife areas.

The Manor at Ngorongoro: An elegant countryside retreat set among a coffee plantation, providing a peaceful contrast to the wilderness.

Good To Know

1. Best Time to Visit Tanzania

This luxury fly-in safari operates on selected departure dates throughout the year, allowing you to experience Tanzania's most iconic safari destinations in different seasons. Each departure has been carefully planned to deliver exceptional wildlife viewing while making the most of short scenic flights between parks.

• June to October – Best for wildlife viewing & the dry season
The dry season is one of the most popular times to visit Tanzania. Wildlife gathers around rivers and waterholes, making sightings easier, while the Serengeti hosts the famous Great Migration in its western and northern regions. Cooler temperatures and clear skies also create excellent conditions for photography.

• November to December – Best for green landscapes & fewer visitors
The short rains bring fresh vegetation, vibrant scenery and excellent birdlife. Wildlife remains abundant throughout Tarangire, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, while visitor numbers are generally lower than during the peak dry season.

• January to March – Best for the Great Migration calving season
Southern Serengeti becomes the stage for one of Africa's greatest wildlife spectacles as hundreds of thousands of wildebeest give birth. This attracts lions, cheetahs and hyenas, creating exceptional predator action, while Tarangire and Ngorongoro continue to offer outstanding wildlife viewing.

• April to May – Best for quieter luxury safaris
The long rains transform Tanzania into a lush green landscape with dramatic skies and fewer visitors. Although occasional showers are possible, the safari experience remains rewarding, particularly for travellers seeking exclusivity and excellent value.

By combining Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, this itinerary offers one of Tanzania's most complete luxury safari experiences, regardless of the season.

2. What are the luggage restrictions?

This itinerary includes several scheduled safari flights operated using small aircraft between Tanzania's national parks.
Guests should travel with soft-sided bags only (no hard suitcases).
The standard luggage allowance is 15 kg per person, including hand luggage.
Additional luggage allowance may be purchased before departure, subject to aircraft capacity and availability. Please contact us in advance if you require extra baggage allowance.

3. Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a private safari?
This is a luxury scheduled fly-in safari. Your airport transfers and accommodation are private, while scheduled flights and most safari activities are shared with a small number of guests staying at the participating camps. How many nights do you recommend?
This 10-day itinerary has been carefully designed to showcase Tanzania's three most iconic safari regions: Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. For travellers wishing to extend their holiday, we can also arrange additional nights in Arusha before departure or a post-safari extension to Zanzibar.

Can I combine this safari with other destinations?
Yes. Many guests choose to extend their stay with a few days in Zanzibar after the safari. We would be delighted to arrange your onward flights and accommodation if you wish to continue your journey.

Is this suitable for first-time visitors to Tanzania?
Absolutely. This itinerary has been designed as one of Tanzania's most comprehensive luxury safari experiences, combining three world-renowned wildlife destinations with carefully selected premium camps, seamless logistics and scenic flights throughout.

Who will I share the safari with?
