About us

At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: travel to Africa should stir your soul. It should awaken a sense of belonging and connection, make you feel truly alive, and leave you with a feeling that stays with you long after the journey ends.

A Bridge Between Two Worlds

My name is Milly, and I’m the founder of Go Africa, a Kenyan-owned but UK-registered travel agency. I’m originally from Kenya, and I now split my time between both countries, often spending 5–6 months at a time living and working on the ground in Africa. This duality: living between two worlds, has become one of my greatest strengths. It allows me to truly understand the expectations, needs, and standards of my Western clients, while staying intimately connected with the people, places, and rhythms of Africa.

Navigating Africa’s safari landscapes isn’t straightforward. Unlike Europe, where you can simply book a hotel and hop on a train, Africa is layered. Flights, permits, park fees, transfers, guides, migration seasons, seasonal rates; it all requires a unique blend of insider knowledge, logistical expertise, and above all, trusted local partnerships.

I speak the language of Western travellers: clarity, value, communication, and transparency. But I also understand the language of Africa: the relaxed pace, the importance of authenticity, the need to embrace the unpredictability of nature, as this is where true magic unfolds.

It’s in this space, where two worlds meet, that I do my best work. I translate the richness of Africa into an experience that feels effortless and completely tailored for you.

Travel That Feels Personal

From the very first consultation, I want to understand not just where you want to go—but why. Are you seeking adventure? Solitude? Family bonding? A milestone celebration? I’ll help you uncover what will make this trip truly unforgettable for you.

Curious about lesser-known gems? I love creating itineraries that go beyond the usual bucket-list stops and into more meaningful, off-the-beaten-path routes. I especially enjoy including Kisumu (my hometown) for travellers who are looking for deeper, more authentic cultural experiences and connections.

More Than Just a Booking... A Personalised Approach

When you choose to work with a smaller, boutique travel company like mine, you're not just another booking in a queue, you’re a valued traveller whose journey truly matters. I offer a highly personalised, hands-on approach. Every itinerary is thoughtfully designed around you, your pace, your interests, your needs. You’ll speak directly with me, someone  who knows Africa intimately and is deeply invested in your experience.

There's genuine care, tailored expertise, and a relationship built on trust. In a destination as nuanced and complex as Africa, that personal attention makes all the difference.

Africa is deeply personal to me. It means so much when travellers choose to visit my homeland, and that’s why I pour my heart into making every trip unique and unforgettable.

My clients aren’t just names on a spreadsheet. From the moment we connect, you’re free to reach out by email, phone, or WhatsApp. And during your travels, you’ll have the reassurance of knowing I’m always just a message away. Many of my clients check in while on safari to share their excitement, stories, or travel photos—and when they’re ready to return (and they often are), I’ll be here with fresh ideas and new places to explore.

Strategic Local Partnerships for Quality and value

To deliver exceptional safaris with both quality and value in mind, I use a hybrid approach to local partnership: balancing direct relationships with safari lodges and trusted in-country Destination Management Companies (DMCs). This model isn’t just about logistics; it’s about creating a richer, more cost-efficient experience for you.

For safari-focused segments of a trip, I work directly with carefully selected lodges, especially those that manage both accommodation and game drives. These partnerships ensure that your guides are highly experienced locals, like a Maasai guide in the Masai Mara, who knows the safari reserve like the back of his hand. Having direct contracts with safari lodges also streamlines communication, strengthens the relationship with the lodges, and most importantly, helps reduce costs by avoiding middle layers.

For more complex or multi-country itineraries, I combine these direct lodge relationships with the expertise of top-tier local DMCs. These trusted partners help coordinate regional flights, transfers, border crossings, and all the finer logistical details that make your journey smooth and stress-free.

The result? A safari experience that’s deeply personalised, seamlessly executed, and designed to offer you the best possible value, without ever compromising on quality.
