Day 2 Samburu National Reserve

This will be an early morning start! Today is dedicated to a full-day exploration of Samburu National In order to catch the animals when they are most active, we need to be early and get to the park before it gets too warm. Samburu National park is very unique: the diverse landscape that you will come across includes a mixture of acacia, riverine forest, thorn trees, and grassland vegetation). This reserve is extremely peaceful, the sense of serenity that characterizes this reserve is mainly due to its considerable distance from the city and the industrial area; and the fact that for many years, this reserve was not accessible to people. Samburu is home to a diverse array of animal and bird species.  Gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, oryx, and reticulated giraffe can be found in abundance here.  Big cats (lions, cheetahs, and African leopards), as well as the elephant, Cape buffalo, and hippopotamus, can also be found here. Olive baboons, warthogs, Grant's gazelle,Kirk's dik-dik, impala, and waterbuck are all common in the park. Due to excessive poaching, black rhinoceros were not present in this reserve for over 25 years, they have just recently been re-introduced into the park. Bird lovers are in their happy haven here, as there are approximately 350 species of bird. The EwasoNg'iro River features vast numbers of Nile crocodiles.

Expansive and awe-inspiring, the Masai Mara stretches across approximately 1,510 square kilometers, strategically positioned on the Kenya-Tanzania border. Witnessing this natural marvel is an extraordinary experience, where the landscape becomes a living canvas of movement and life.

As we venture into the heart of the Masai Mara, be prepared to witness the raw beauty of the wilderness and the intricate dance of wildlife in their natural habitat.
